A small studio with a short list of rules
Indie App Studios is an independent studio making games and apps for phones.
What we are for
A lot of what is on a phone is built to keep you there, learn about you, or sell you something halfway through. We would like to make the other kind: things that do one job well and then get out of the way.
The rules
- Collect nothing we do not need. If a game works without the internet, it does not get the permission.
- No advertising that follows you. No tracking software and no profiles.
- Safe to hand to a child. No chat, no strangers, no links out, no purchases a child can stumble into.
- Small and finished. We ship one idea done well.
These are written down so that you can hold us to them. If something of ours ever breaks one, tell us.
Where we are
Our first game, RIMFIRE, is in closed testing on Android. Apps are in the workshop and not yet announced. The full list is on the games and apps page.
